Laphroaig 15 Year Old 200th Anniversary Edition is a limited release marking 200 years of Laphroaig distillery. Nose: The peat is subtle and the nose is fairly sweet. Some soft vanilla and mild sugar, along with ripe banana, and green apple. Palate: Smoky and peaty, with a fair amount of pepper and some tannins. A bit medicinal. Theres not a lot left of the sweetness that was so prominent in the nose. Finish: peat and nutty aromas with a hint of chocolate at the end. Long, but not overpowering.
