A luxury bottle stopper with a handle or knob made from Irish spalted beech, ideal for Re sealing wine bottles. The materials My aim is zero waste! My materials come from various sources, most is offcuts left over from other projects which are to good to dispose of, all of the wood I use is from sustainable sources when possible from wind blown native Irish trees ( eg cherry laburnum spalted beech yew etc) or from planks which have been sourced from responsible suppliers. The process I create because I love to! My products are all handmade one at a time & therefore are given my utmost attention starting with a raw piece of wood & ending up with a beautiful functional item I chose simple shapes which I feel amplifies the character & beauty of the grain of the piece I am working on. Making my various products by hand is a slow process but a labour of love, from sourcing the the raw materials through to final finishing of the piece. Particular attention is paid to the quality of the wood & the surface finish – I feel this is time well spent knowing that each piece will be enjoyed for many years to come. Some of my products have a standard smooth finish some have gone through a process of texturing & some have been textured & painted resulting in a very colourful & tactile pieces. All of my pieces are finished with a hard wearing cellulose lacquer for a highly durable & lasting finish. Delivery I aim to dispatch every Monday Wednesday & Friday! The delivery of each piece is important each piece is well packaged & posted by Royal Mail as I want the product to reach my customers in good condition allowing them to be appreciated & enjoyed by their new guardians.
