Hare Moon Tankard

A wild hare leaps across a starscape & a fat full moon on this curvy midnight blue pottery tankard. Holds just over a pint. Each earthenware piece is hand carved & then painted using underglazes I blend myself, before being inlaid with oxide washes & finally glaze fired. The theme of each motif continues to the underside, which is textured with custom made rollers & impression tools. The is handbuilt, rather than wheel thrown, & the earthy style rejects the confines of machined symmetry, instead offering interesting visual lines & tactile satisfaction. You will receive one tankard, as above, please note each is hand built, carved & painted – no two are exactly alike. Dishwasher safe, but why not hand wash & enjoy the details of this fine mug?
