Hakushu 12 Year Old Japanese Whisky – 70cl 43%

A perennial favourite and a must-try for anyone interested in discovering Japanese whisky. Hakushu is owned by Suntory, founders of the first Japanese distillery, Yamazaki. Nose: fresh fruit, apple green, lemongrass, and a little smoke. Palate: green apple, dark caramel, caramelized sugar, charcoal, spinach, mash. Finish: woody / hay, molasses, dark muddy berries, bit of green vegetable, a bit of burnt sugar, faint citrus.
