‘La Grolla’ is a wooden chalice that originated from the ‘Val d’Aosta’ mountain region Northern Italy. They typically have a short stem or base with a lid & are hand carved from Nut trees or Acres. They were mainly used to drink wine from but now an interesting decorative piece that you won’t find in many house holds across the UK.
