Christofle French Vintage Bottle Opener, Silver Plated 1935-1983, Paris, Emperor Napoleon

This silver plated bottle opener is from the Parisian luxury house of Christofle. Part of the Gallia (an alloy of copper & tin, easily silver plated) collection, the marks on the back indicate that it was made between 1935 & 1983. It features the profile of Napoleon sculpted in relief on the front, complete with laurel wreath around his head & second laurel wreath almost enclosing the iconic cicada on the back. It is in excellent condition & would be an elegant gift for a francophile. Similar vintage Christofle bottle openers have been sold on other internet sites for 80 to 100 euros.
