Chateau Monteils Sauternes, 75 cl

Very good value Sauternes. Light yellow gold colour. An elegant dessert wine with notes of vanilla, honey, butterscotch and dried apricots on the nose, and palate, underlined by a slightly smoky undertone. Juicy and mouth filling. Chateau Monteils is a relatively small vineyard of only 12 hectares allowing all the grapes for their wines to be picked by hand. The sandy soil also ensures that their grapes are of a very high quality indeed. Honeyed with a butterscotch background. A blend of Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle.
