Brass Tankard Ice Bucket Cooler Flip Top Handle Plastic Lined Made in Italy Pm Hallmark

This unusual ice bucket from Italy is in the shape of a tankard. The lid is hinged with a thumb latch to easily flip the top open. The interior is lined in insulating plastic including the top of the lid. I was surprised to discover from the mark on the bottom that this item was once silver-plated. I have to say I prefer the brass. All the plating has been removed to reveal the brass underneath, There is no silver plate left. The brass does have a lot of spotting & a couple of large areas of tarnish. I have not polished the brass but it still has a lot of shine on the body. The hallmark on the bottoms reads Made in Italy, PM Silverplate Measures 8 tall, 9 wide with handle, 6 1/2 in diameter at the top, & 7 1/8 in diameter at the bottom.
