This is an antique advertising combination metal bottle opener & spatula or pie & cake server. It is 11 7/8 long & in a chrome or nickel plated metal. The advertising is stated as, Good Shoes & Good Clothes Lothrops – Farnham Co on one side & on the opposite side, Shop Early in The Day As Well As Early in The Week. This clothing company was located in New Hampshire, established in around 1883 in the towns of Somersworth, Dover & Rochester. There is a patent date on the underside of the spatula which is faint but most of it can be made out to read, Pat 1-24-14 (the year 1914 can’t be seen but pretty sure that’s what it should say) Great old kitchen tool with a bit of historical advertising to boot!
