I handcrafted these wine bottle stoppers using a natural Amethyst Quartz Crystal Druzy Gemstone from Uruguay. Crystals are polished on the edges with amazing natural purple hues found only in Uruguay. Stones are XL – bigger than a silver dollar! Chromed stopper base is 2.5 long. Amethyst is a variety of clear quartz with color that ranges from a light pinkish violet to a deep purple.The color comes from color centers in the quartz that are created when trace amounts of iron are irradiated by the natural radiation in the rocks. Living in the earth is tough! Crystals face many challenges to perfect formation, including: fault line shifts, earthquakes, extreme temperatures, growth interference, movement in the pocket, & mining accidents.
