Vintage Wine Pump – With Ceramic Handle With Grape Decorations A Mystery

UK ONLY DUE TO ExTREMELY HEAVY WEIGHT We came across these unusual wine pumps on a trip to Northamptonshire recently, there is one other on the shop & two on this listing (selling individually). The wine pumps appear to have been used to draw wine from a reservoir beneath the bar using the traditional pump handle operation usually associated with beer. This pump would make a great project for someone in the know, & to be perfectly honest, we know nothing about them so are unable to help. There are a series of pipes & filters attached to the pump which if replaced, may well bring this pump back to life. We have fitted a wooden plinth to the base of the handle & added red baize to stop the bar top being scratched. There are two large screw attachments under the base to attach the heavy item to the bar. The pump measures 9 from the tip of the ceramic handle to the wooden, baize bottomed base (visible over the top of the bar) & 9.75 below from the bottom of the wood to the large ring shape at the bottom.
