Tomintoul Seiridh is pronounced sheh-ree being the Scottish Gaelic for Sherry. This perfectly balanced single malt has been matured in American Oak Bourbon casks from Kentucky, USA before being finished in specially selected first fill Oloroso Sherry butts from Andalucia, Spain. This process of finishing has created a beautifully rich and full flavoured single malt. Batch One of the limited-edition Tomintoul Seiridh has a total of 6,000 bottles available, which are all individually numbered. Tomintoul Distillerys Master Distiller, Robert Fleming said *I personally hand-selected the finest Oloroso Sherry butts from an old, family-owned bodega in Jerez, Andalucia to expertly finish our wonderful Tomintoul Single Malt. Tomintoul Seiridh is delightfully smooth and complex, which is heavily influenced by rich Christmas cake and spice flavours.* Nose: Rich and inviting with aromas of sultana, butterscotch and candied pecans. Palate: Sweet and luscious with layers of dried figs and Christmas cake highlighted with touches of cedar spice. Finish: Warm, nutty and long with notes of chocolate covered raisins, dried fruits and hints of liquorice that fade into a woody linger.
