The Macallan 18 Year Old 1984 – 70cl 43%

This is the 1984 edition of Macallan’s classic and award-winning sherry cask 18 year old whisky. The spirit was matured exclusively in Jerez sherry casks from Spain, which impart rich flavours of dried fruit, ginger and sweet toffee, producing a wonderfully flavoured single malt whisky. The discontinuation of age statements across most of Macallan’s range has made the 18 year old an incredibly sought after and collectible bottling. Nose: Chocolate, toffee, sherry wood, dried fruits, raisins – goes into typical old style Macallan Palate: Creamy, smooth, sweet oak wood, toffee, coffee, toasted bread, dark fruits, chocolate Finish: Medium long and warm, still with this nice chocolate cappuccino taste
