Tales of the Macallan Volume 1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 70cl 46%

Tales of the Macallan celebrates the pioneering people behind this iconic distillery. The inaugural release is particularly sought after, with each Lalique crystal decanter concealed in a leather-bound tome created by Shepherds, one of Britain’s oldest bookbinders. This beautifully illustrated volume tells the story of Captain John Grant, who built the iconic Easter Elchies House in 1700 and sowed the first barley on the future site of the Macallan distillery. The whisky inside is also a masterpiece, distilled in 1950 and bottled in 2021. You can expect a symphony of baked stone fruit, honeydew melon, roasted almonds, and a touch of smoke.
