Description: A glorious vintage bow fronted Art Deco glass china / display cabinet standing on cabriole legs with iconic mirrored gold detailing on the front door. Dating probably from the 1930’s this elegant cabinet has a single lockable door & two glass shelves & is in very good order with the original lock & key still working. The cabinet has been carefully sanded, restored & painted externally in Little Greene’s dark & dramatic inky blue ‘Basalt’ Intelligent Eggshell; internally the base has also been painted to match & I have lined the back with a stunning opulent Rainforest velvet. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room as a display cabinet, china cabinet or drinks cabinet. Condition: This piece is in very good condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents & previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage & antique pieces & adds to their character. The door unlocks easily with the original key & opens & closes with ease, & the glass has all been fully cleaned & polished. in terms of the finish, I’m not a ‘furniture flipper’; I don’t churn out large quantities of quickly refinished pieces; I spend huge amounts of time & care & on each piece & pour parts of my soul into each item. I specialise in refinishing vintage & antique furniture & I spend hours hand picking each of my pieces locally & I don’t sell anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home. I don’t just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces & call them upcycled – each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration & preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed & undercoated before painting a minimum of 5 coats & a lacquer to protect high traffic surfaces..
