Strathearn Single Malt Batch 001 – 70cl 46.6%

This Strathearn Single Malt is a Batch 001! This expression from Perthshire has matured in European oak and sherry casks for a satisfying flavour profile. Nose: Caramel, earthy bitter chocolate and sherry fruits Palate: Caramel and wood with fruity notes and a peppery kick Finish: Woody with fruit, spice and a peppery kick.

The first release of single malt from Strathearn distillery, which was founded in 2013 and is part of the Douglas Laing company. Distilled both in that year and the following, this whisky was matured in ex-sherry casks and has taken on notes of red fruits, cocoa and butterscotch.
