We found this lovely beer tray at an online auction recently. The brightly coloured tray is a lovely example of these great advertising beer items. The tray advertises Mitchell’s & Butler’s Springfield Bitter, a beer first brewed in the 1800s by William Butler. Prized for its pale colour & weaker than usual taste, it became a favourite in the Midlands. The beer was brewed predominantly in Wolverhampton until 1991. Sadly the brewery burned down in a fire in the early 2000s. The tray is in good vintage condition, with some darker spots around some of the inside edge (see listing photos for details), the gold-coloured back of the tray is in good condition with just a few scratches. The tray is smaller in size, measuring 10.5 in diameter x 1 in depth. The tray will be cushioned in bubble wrap, wrapped in tissue & its box padded with paper for a safe journey to its new home. Most of our packaging is now paper-based & recyclable. We always combine shipping whenever weight allows & refund overages on overseas shipping. steel Beer Tray Advertising Springfield Bitter Made For The Mitchell’s & Butler’s Brewery
