St. Magdalene 30 Year Old 1982 – Cadenhead’s Whisky

From William Cadenhead, Scotland’s oldest independent bottler a lovely 30 year old single malt from silent distillery St. Magdalene (Linlithgow). Distilled in 1982 and bottled in January 2012, from a single cask with an out turn of only 282 bottles. Nose: An old fashioned sweet shop; lemon drizzle cake and orange zest. Palate: Rhubarb and custard sweets. Bananas and cream and soft oakiness. Finish: Vanilla fudge and orange oils. Growing earthy tones. A dram to take your time over.
