Simpsons Gravel Castle Chardonnay 2021

75cl / 12.5% – Charles and Ruth Simpson have been making wine in France for the past 17 years and it was only in 2014 that they returned to the UK to make wine on their home turf. This 2021-vintage Chardonnay is a nod to Burgundy with its golden delicious apple, buttered toast and green olive notes. The palate is crisp and zesty with lemon and grapefruit. Try this with a plate of fresh oysters.
