An impressive vintage 5 Litre Saint-milion Wine Bottle from one of the most prestigious & highly regarded wine producing areas in France. This large wine bottle has the classic ‘Bordeaux’ shape & is known as a Bordeaux Jeroboam which holds 5 litres (approximately 10.5 US liquid pints) as opposed to the standard Jeroboam which holds 3 litres. Now empty, the bottle held a fine red wine produced at the famous Lussac-Saint-milion vineyards in the Bordeaux area of south west France. The deep green bottle has a label on one side & an earlier design in gold applied directly to the glass on the other side. The label dates to 2001 whereas the design on the other side dates to 1981, indicating that the bottle was reused. The label reads ‘Chteau La Marzenac, Lussac-Saint-milion’ – Chteau La Marzenac is a 27 hectare vineyard situated to the north of Saint-milion. The design on the other side reads ‘Cuvee de Luccius, Lussac-Saint-milion 1981’. The thick glass is beautifully rippled & textured in places, with a pronounced punt at the base. There is a cork in the top. Height (excluding the cork): 46.5cm (18). Weight: 2.702Kg (5lbs 15oz). An unusual gift for a wine lover, or perfect mancave dcor or wine merchants display. The second photograph shows the bottle alongside a standard 75cl wine bottle for size comparison. SHIPPING NOTE: WHEN ORDERING THIS ITEM PLEASE SUPPLY YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER.
