Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile 1985, Trimbach

A sublime, super-rare treat from the cellar; a wine that was famous before Alsace Grand Cru existed, this was picked from the south and south-east facing Ribeauvillé terroirs of Geisberg and Osterberg which overlook the Trimbach winery. The soil composition is marl-limestone-sandstone and fossil-flecked Muschelkalk.
