Plantation Guyana 2007 Rum / 15 Year Old

70cl / 51% – A wonderfully rich rum from the venerable Diamond distillery on the Demerara River. After 13 years aging in the tropical climate of Guyana, this blend of wooden pot still and column distilled rums was shipped to the Cognac region where it was finished in French oak for a further two years. This secondary maturation contributed soft spices and notes of tobacco leaf to a characterful profile of cocoa, liquorice, and roasted nuts.
