A pair of pretty Japanese porcelain bowls with hand painted decoration highlighted with gilding. Both have a red backstamp, ‘The Yamato, Nippon’. ). I think sake bowls & early 20th century in date – there’s slight surface wear & a little rubbing to the gilding, but nothing serious.
