Mid Century Metamorphic Drinks Trolley Table – Cabinet

A simply stunning, high quality mid-century metamorphic drinks trolley, side table by Besway of London, circa 1950s. Seen here crafted in solid teak with faux rosewood veneered finishes to both tiers & side panels. The well-proportioned trolley converts to a table by means of a clever heavy duty patented spring mechanism that allows the lower tier shelf to rise level with the top by simply releasing or pulling out the knob handle to unlock. The mechanism also allows the lower tier to hold its position at any chosen height on its way up or down which opens up endless opportunities for display purposes. Aesthetics matched only by its function & practicality. Condition: Solid, robust & fully functional. Lovely vintage condition with only minor age-related wear. Some small fine light scratches confined to bottom tier, hard to pick up on camera. Overall superb. You would be hard pressed to find better.
