Lovely Rare Bar Water Jug Made For W H Milner Fine Wines in Burton On Trent Staffordshire

This lovely bar water jug was found on our recent trip to Wales. The jug was made by J B M Products in Burton on Trent in Staffordshire for W H Milner Fine Wines. The company of W H Milner was registered in the mid-1880s with the address 67 King Street, Manchester. The merchant’s signature is under the jug spout with the words ‘W H Milner Burton’. This jug was probably made in the 1970s or 80s. The jug proved difficult to photograph as the glaze is so shiny, but it is deep green in colour with gold embellishments. There is some wear to the rim line. The jug measures 5 in height x 7.5 in length x 3.5 in width. We will cushion the jug in bubble wrap, wrap it in tissue & pad the box with paper for a safe journey to its new home. Most of our packaging is now paper-based & recyclable.
