Ledaig 2012 Bordeaux Red Wine Cask / 9 Year Old Island Whisky

70cl / 55.6% – A limited-edition Ledaig single malt from Tobermory distillery that has been matured exclusively in Bordeaux red wine casks for nine years and bottled at cask strength. Aromas of eucalyptus oil, smoked fudge and carbolic soap fill the nose, complemented by notes of burning heather, pine cones, grape skins, melon and wood-smoked meats on the palate that develop into honeysuckle, heather, lime pastilles and lingering wisps of smoke in the finish.
