Kavalan Solist Amontillado Sherry Whisky- This Solist Amontillado is probably the most nicely packaged whisky we’ve seen from Taiwanese Distillery King Car / Kavalan. Every cask is specially selected by the master blender for its distinct character and fine distillery quality. Each bottle is meticulously bottled at full cask strength and individually numbered. Nose: Hints of raisin and coconut, toffee, cinnamon and tobacco notes. Palate: opens with a nice burst of sweet fresh fruit, guava and melon – front to mid palate, after which the wood takes over; a Christmas pine hit, the fruit now acting as flamboyant outriders, the caramels rushing in to fill the gap. Finish: long and dry and punches into the throat.

Very rich and fruity. Good sweetness with notes of walnut and almond. Slight toffee and a touch of oak. More exotic and soft sherry with a hint of caramel. The finish is gently long with nuts and pepperiness. Kavalan Solist Amontillado Cask is best served neat. It is also perfect with ice cream.
