Marski is a nickname for Finnish former Marshal Carl Gustaf Mannerheim. He was a Finnish soldier, general, war hero & leader of Finland in two periods when Finland had to battle against Red Army. He is a modern Finnish legend & highly respected person among population even the highlights happened 70-100 years ago. Tapio Wirkkala designed Marski series glasses to honor Mannerheim (who did not split to glass when it was time to take a good drink). Iittala produced Marski series dishes in period 1959-80. Here is available a set of schnapps glasses without legs; they were made also with legs.
