Hubbards – Casino Blend Gin 70cl Bottle- Initial hit of cherry offset nicely by juniper and earthy notes followed by orange citrus. Hubbards Casino Blend takes its influence from the classic Casino cocktail which featured in Harry Craddocks infamous Savoy Cocktail Book, first published in 1930. The Casino cocktail is stylish simplicity, with maraschino cherry liquor, orange bitters and lemon juice, served in the same fashion as a Martini. Created as a modern take on a traditional London Dry Gin, the Casino Blend celebrates its wonderful juniper dominance by blending perfectly with another 12 of the finest botanicals to deliver a unique and outstanding taste experience. Hubbards Gin harps back to post-prohibition days. In collaboration with the award-winning Union Distillers of Market Harborough, they have created a truly unique premium flavoured gin.

•  This is a clever one. Initially juniper forward, with an earthy, woodland-floor note. In the wings lies a honey-sweet granola, topped with red berry compote.
• Palate: True to the nose, but evolves in the opposite direction. Maraschino cherries straight off the bat. Sweet, with just an underpinning of almond. This is nicely balanced by a piney, juniper note. As it develops, we get a little more of a citrus note, specifically orange, that does a great job of freshening things up. All-in-all, this is a grown-up Black Forest gateau.
• Finish: Long, loud and very clear. More of the maraschino cherry note, with just an echo of juniper freshness.
