The lovely whisky jug was made by Seton Pottery of Redruth in Cornwall. Decoratively the small poem was found in the autograph book of the daughter of the first manager of the Teacher’s distillery, which was written by her friend. ‘Now this is the truth – not blether; The ‘learners’ we’ve been good & ill The still stands a Teacher’s still ‘Neath the bonnie purple heather’. The advertising water jug is in fine vintage condition, with no damage or scratches to the ceramic. The Seton stamp is clearly visible on the base of the jug. We are really loving the colours on these Teacher’s jugs, which makes them look nicely vintage, making them great for either home bar use, or as decorative items on a kitchen shelf, holding flowers or use in the kitchen as milk jugs or gravy boats. Please note the measurements given are for firstly the height, followed by the width across the top from spout to handle & finally depth at the base. The jug will be cushioned with bubble wrap, wrapped in tissue & its box padded with paper for a safe journey to its new home. We always combine shipping whenever possible.
