Glenfiddich IPA Cask / Experimental Series Speyside Whisky – 70cl

70cl / 43% / Distillery Bottling – One of the first pair of entries in the Glenfiddich Experimental Series – a whisky finished in casks seasoned with India Pale Ale. The Speyside Craft Brewery created a special beer which was aged in ex-Glenfiddich casks for a month before they were returned to the distillery and filled with whisky for a three-month finishing period. The result is a vibrant and fruity dram.

Part of the Glenfiddich Experimental Series, the IPA Malt Whisky was finished for three months in casks that had previously held India Pale Ale brewed especially for the purpose. It’s full of vibrant fruity character with that signature Glenfiddich note of marmalade and a long, satisfying finish. Nose: An elegant harmony of fresh green apple, William’s pear and spring blossom. Complimented with Aromatic hops and fresh herbs. Palate: Vibrant with a zesty citrus note followed by creamy vanilla and a hint of fresh hops. Finish: Enduring sweetness with an echo of green hops.
