So, it was inevitable that Fernet Francisco would appear, a company producing a very San Franciscan take on the amaro, with locally-made grape brandy and a recipe of 12 botanicals. It’s definitely, with a strong bitter core, but it’s also fresher and brighter than many from the old country, with leafy herbaceousness and sweet floral notes.
