During the last week of every year, lightly peated barley is used in whisky production here at the Tomatin Distillery. This spirit, just 90,000 litres per annum is then filled into 1st fill ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry and Virgin Oak casks and, when matured, will be bottled as Cù Bòcan. Nose: Light, sweet and smoky. Dried fruits, raisins and sultanas with a slightly floral background. Hints of roasted nuts. With spicy, citrus notes. Palate: Citrus and oats, the peat becoming more prominent here. Nutty, toasted almonds dusted with cloves and cinnamon, a spicy kick. Finish: Medium and dry, slightly smoky with a bitter malt.
- DELICIOUSLY SMOOTH, RICH, SWEET LIGHTLY PEATED WHISKY – made in the winter months only using the tall, slim copper stills of the Tomatin Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, using lightly peated barley for a subtly smoky, surprisingly sweet spirit
- MATURED IN BOURBON, OLOROSO SHERRY AND NORTH AMERICAN VIRGIN OAK CASKS – C˘ BÚcan is known for its experimental maturation style and this unusual combination gives an extraordinary depth and complexity of flavours
- AWARD WINNING FLAVOURS – light smoke intertwines with rich citrus and exotic spices, with aromas of honey, coconut and milk chocolate and a palate of treacle, coffee, pecan pie and cinnamon
- NON-CHILL FILTERED AND NATURAL COLOUR – avoiding chill-filtration allows the true flavours to be enjoyed without altering the aromas, characteristics or the natural colour of the Scottish whisky
- A GREAT MALT WHISKY GIFT – anyone you know who enjoys discovering new and exciting whiskey flavours will be delighted with this innovative single malt Scotch whisky in its contemporary designer bottle presented in a matching foil-embossed box
