Croftengea 2005 16 Year Old / Whisky Trail Soviet Highland Whisky

70cl / 56.2% / Elixir Distillers – A 2005 Croftengea single malt from indie bottler Elixir Distillers, matured in a single hogshead for 16 years, before being bottled in April 2021 as part of its Whisky Trail Soviet series. Aromas of pistachio eclairs, set honey, pine needles and citrusy smoke fill the nose, complemented by notes of banoffee pie, cocoa powder, burnt caramel, sundried tomatoes and earthy pepper throughout the palate.
