The latest offering from the superb Chareau d’Esclans comes both beautifully presented and is impressive to tasteCaves d’Esclans is the brightest new star of the Cotes de Provence. Established in 2006 when Bordeaux-born Sacha Lichine bought the Chateau d’Esclans, this dynamic producer harnesses both the chateau-grown grapes and fruit from local growers to create a stunning range of highly sought-after wines. Patrick Leon, the former winemaker at Mouton-Rothschild, oversees production.Made in The Var region, Chateau d’Esclan’s Pale is named after how The English might have historically ordered their Rose wines. For those of you that follow wine critics Matthew Jukes has described this as ‘very impressive indeed’. The bottle is absolutely stunning too. A blend of Grenache, Rolle, Syrah and Cinsault.
