Calla Lily By Whiting Sterling Silver Serving Spoon, Vermeil Bowl, Ca 1850S

This is the very rare Calla Lily spoon by Whiting that was just found in a great St. Louis estate. I have two of these beauties listed right now, both from the same house. This serving spoon is famous for the fine workmanship & design. The spoon has a very detailed calla lily at the top & three leaves holding the vermeil gold washed bowl. The condition is remarkable for its age. It looks like it was never used. It is marked Sterling on the back. The calla lily spoon dates from the 1850s. It measures 8 1/2 long.
