Bruichladdich Islay Barley Kentraw Farm 2004 Scotch Whisky – Born from a passion for barley, this expression from Bruichladdich is the first to have used Islay-grown barley in recent times. The barley malted was grown by framer Raymond Stewart on Kentraw Farm, with whom this bottling shares its name, the farm sits little more than a mile away from the Bruichladdich distillery.
The first of a potential series of whiskies from Bruichladdich with terroir very much at the forefront. This whisky is made from barley grown on Islay a mile from the distiller at Kentraw farm, malted without peat and then distilled and matured on Islay. A truly local whisky.
