Bowmore 10 Year Old Devil’s Casks Batch I Small Batch Release Whisky

This small batch release of 10 year old Bowmore Devil’s Cask was matured in first fill sherry casks. Released in October 2013, all 6000 bottles quickly sold out and remains a highly sought after bottle. The legendary peated spirit combines with luscious sweet sherry for a fantastic dram. Nose: Fairly faint hint of peat. Strong sherry mixed with herbs and medicine. A bit of chocolatey note. Water pushes the peat further into the background (but not out of the picture entirely) and accentuates the cherry cough drop notes. Taste: Very mellow. Sweet and smoke. Finish: Smoky. Herbal cough medicine flavoured with artificial cherry. Smoke and peat are most prominent here. With water the smoke becomes a bit drier.
