The jug measures 7 in height x 4.5 in diameter at the base. This pretty whisky water jug is something of a misfit. Whoever originally created the brand & the jug, made a marvellous job of the image, the lettering, & the shape of the jug. They did however make a major mistake, & those sharp-eyed customers may have already seen it. The cardinal sin of adding an ‘E’ to the word Whisky, turns the drink from a Scotch to an Irish drink, & that is what has happened here. You simply cannot have the words ‘Scotch’ & ‘Whiskey’ in the same sentence. The jug is lovely however, the small square shape of it makes it ideal for a home bar or man cave. The image on the jug, that of a Laird, aged 87 – Fresh & Hearty Still, is just lovely. Obviously drinking a wee dram a day never did him any harm. There is also a motto on the jug ‘The best is the cheapest, & in this case, the cheapest is the best’. The jug has been hand-finished with a hand-painted line around the top. A great little item!
