Armorik Yeun Elez Jobic Single Malt French Whisky 70cl

70cl / 46% – A well-balanced single malt from Armorik, named after the ancient peat bog located at the heart of the Armorica National Park.

Another brilliant Armorik French single malt from Warenghem Distillery, Yeun Elez Jobic is named after an old swampy area that served as a peat bog until the mid 1900s. As such, this is a smoky affair from the Breton distillery, produced with barley peated to 50 PPM and matured entirely in bourbon casks to bring a sweeter balance. This is by no means a peat bomb, and certainly a good sipper for those who are dipping their toe into the world of smoky (and French) whisky!

• Yeun Elez is the result of the distillery’s foray into the territory of peated whiskies. We offer you a peaty variation of our single malt Armorik : we use Scottish peated barley, water from our own source and our artisanal know-how, reflects the Breton character.
• Using our traditional pot stills, we strive to create an exceptional single malt that
• TASTING NOTES – COLOUR – Pale yellow with golden reflections. NOSE – Beautiful aromatic intensity, the peat is medicinal (camphor, cloves) but supported by fruity notes, bananas, cooked peaches, and pastry (cream pastry).
• PALATE -The smoke rounds the palate, citrus notes bringing freshness. Nice roundness with a hint of salinity. FINAL -A lingering, iodized and spicy finish, ending with a warm wood fire.
