Antique Victorian Antler Handled Traditional Corkscrew With Pick Antler Corkscrew

This is an unusual late Victorian period antique antler corkscrew with pick. It has a fine, sharp steel wire screw on a square section shaft & a point of deer antler as the handle, secured by a brass washer. A simple design yet to be bettered, the sharp wire spiral cuts through the cork with little damage & the pull is easy on the fingers. The pick is used for opening the foil on bottles. Fully useable with a few knocks & lovely patina of age & wear. A practical piece or great for the collector.
