Antique Edwardian Beech Handled Traditional Corkscrew

This is a nice early C20th antique corkscrew with a wire worm type screw on a square moulded shaft & a hand turned beechwood pull, secured by a steel washer. The wooden pull has later pale blue chippy paint with a lovely patina. A simple design yet to be bettered, the helical spiral worm cuts through the cork with little damage & the pull is easy on the fingers. Fully useable with a few knocks & lovely patina of age & wear.
