From the very good 2007 vintage and scoring 93/100 Parker points, “The 2007 Barolo Le Coste-Mosconi is a fascinating wine to taste next to the Mariondino. While the Mariondino shows the more restrained, Burgundian side of Nebbiolo, the Le Coste-Mosconi is all about power. Made from a south-facing site in Monforte, the Le Coste-Mosconi emerges with layers of dark black fruit, espresso, tar, spices, licorice and new leather, revealing gorgeous inner perfume and remarkable harmony. This is more restrained and inward than some of the other 2007s here and is likely to require a few additional years of bottle age. Tar, smoke and scorched earth add complexity on the big, building finish.” Drink now – 2029. This vintage wine is shipped in a deluxe silk lined wooden presentation box with four wine accessories (corkscrew, wine pourer, drip stopper & wine thermometer) [worth £17.99] at no extra cost and now includes a free gift card with your personal message and tasting and storage notes.
