We love this unusual whisky water jug! We found it recently at auction locally here in Hampshire. The jug advertises the Queen Anne Scotch Whisky brand, which began life in Edinburgh when Wine Merchant Hill, Thomson & Co first produced the whisky in 1884. The brand reached the highest accolade of achieving a Royal Warrant shortly after & was very popular on the International market well into the 1980s. The brand is not so popular now, but the name lives on. The jug is in perfect vintage condition. According to the back stamp, it was made, by Wade pdm, between 1970 – & 1980. This jug has an ice catcher spout, a fancy handle, & great transfer print logos on either side. The finish has the appearance of stoneware due to tiny flecks in the glaze. A great addition to any home bar, whisky bar or man cave. Or do as we do, & use it at the dinner table as a gravy jug – a real conversation piece at a dinner party! The jug will be cushioned in bubble wrap & wrapped in tissue & press paper (unused fish & chip paper) for a safe journey to its new home. We always combine shipping wherever possible, then we refund any overages when we dispatch your order. 1970’s Whisky Water Jug Advertising Queen Anne – By Wade Pdm
