Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 – 70cl 48%

The highly sought after 2013 edition of Yamazaki Sherry Cask was awarded World Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2015. Matured in Spanish sherry casks lending it a huge oloroso signature, nutty, thick, dry as a rounded snooker ball according to Murray, with a nose of exquisite boldness! Nose: Loads of sherry, plums, forest fruits, toffee, vanilla and a spicy tang. Palate: Bittersweet!! Sherry and oak, citrus, orange peel, and red berries with dry tannins. Finish: Long, and bittersweet – we see why this has won so many awards!!!
