Gosset Celebris 2007 Extra Brut Champagne, 75 cl

Gosset’s stunningly presented vintage Champagne has been stored in the their cellars for over 10 years. An abundance of Chardonnay (over 50% of the blend) provides a lovely crispness with just a hint of perhaps Pink Grapefruit in the background. Terrific stuff! Gosset has a quite remarkable dynasty being able to trace their wine making as far back as 1584 making Gosset the oldest Champagne House. Their original wines were still and mostly red but by the end of the 17th Century they were undoubtedly starting to produce the sparkling wines that we know today (albeit very different in taste!). Their Champagnes are also presented in the beautifully distinctive ‘Antique’ bottles which is a replica of the bottles used towards the end of the 18th Century. Crisp Champagne with great depth. A blend of 57% Chardonnay and 43% Pinot Noir.
