Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Château Thébaud 2015, Jérémie Huchet

Beautiful bottle aged Muscadet, made from 55 year old vines and benefitting from extended underground cellaring on its lees. It’s then bottled without fining or filtration, resulting in a complex rich and mineral style. Given it’s age this stunning wine is still beautifully clear and bright – and has a wonderful bouquet of white flowers, citrus fruits, pear and a mineral edge. It’s bone-dry and zesty with plenty of fruit on the palate and a brisk, fresh finish. The ultimate seafood wine – serve chilled with oysters, mussels or barbecued prawns. Also has the weight to partner lobster.
