Jean Desprs Silver Wine Taster A modernist design wine taster by famed French silversmith Jean Desprs. It would date to the late 1950’s or 60’s. It has an asymmetric design with planished hemispheres to one side & inverted teardrops to the other. It has a finger loop & thumb rest for use & the base is slightly concave. To the base it has the J Desprs signature mark etched in. There are no other marks, although it tests as sterling grade silver. A great item from this important 20th century artist. Condition Minor wear only, very good order. Measurements (Approx) Diameter: 8.4 cm ( 3 1/4 inch) bowl only Height: 5.1 cm ( 1 1/4 inch) to top of thumb rest Weight: 97 grams (before packing).
