This milk glass baby bottle was produced in the 1960s by the venerable distiller, L’Armagnac Ducastaing, of Vic-Fezensac, Gers, South West France. Gers is famous for its prunes and, of course, Armagnac. Written down the front are humorous descriptions of the stages of emptying the bottle – the wording reads as follows; Premier frisson (First thrill), Grandes ondes (Big Waves), Viens poupoule (Come here my dear), Soir de noces (Wedding night), Vingt ans aprs (Twenty years later), Artilleur d’lite (Sharp Shooter), Extinction des feux (Lights out), Mur du son (Wall of sound).
